Hey guys,

Finally found the reason for my constant BSOD - my netgear card (FA311) drivers. Decided to change it for on my many many many different network cards which i know work. Everything is fine apart from the fact they just don't seem to allow anything to do with the internet through. I'm using the same setup procedure as always but no luck. So i've put the netgear back in and hoping i can type all of this before i BSOD.

Any ideas?

Cheers
Chris

PS. A quick answer would be appreciated! This is driving me nuts!

Telewest require you to register the MAC address of the machine that's connected to the modem with them. Since the MAC address of every NIC *should* be unique the MAC in each of the new NICs you've tried will be different to the one that Telewest have registered for you and hence they won't let it access the internet.

I've no idea how you go about registering a new MAC though or how long it takes to become active.

Woohoo! Its all done! Its actually a quick and simple process, if only I had known how this morning! But cheers rpstewart :)

For all those who may need to know someday...

Previously, you had to first register the MAC address of each device you wanted to use with blueyonder via our selfcare system, however following a recent upgrade to blueyonder, you no longer need to register MAC addresses as part of the installation process.

And heres the guide of how to do it. :) How to change network devices

Cheers
Chris
