Only Picking up 1 Core

u need to make windows see the second core , u should go to devices and click on COMPUTER -> ACPI and install the new one which will see the second core
 
hmm well i installed the optimizer driver , restarted and it still only picks up 1 core :( ive just went into device manager aswell clicked computer found the acpi thing clicked update driver and it said it couldnt find a newer one...?
 
thats really weird, was the processor new ? when you right click my computer and go to properties and then device manager, click on the tab were it says processors and what does it say.

In device manager, try to replace the "computer" driver with ACPI Multiprocessor -driver.

Also click view\cpu history\one graph per cpu just to be sure (in the task manager\performance tab).
 
According to that screenshot, Device Manager is detecting the multicore cpu as it says "Multiprocessor PC", so windows must have installed the drivers... I thought you needed to download an XP update for multicores to work correctly? :confused:
