Only Picking up 1 Core

failing that, go back into device manager and unistall your processors, and in the control panel unistall the dual core optimizer a, restart and reinstall the optimizer. see what that does
 
definatly a bios update, ive downloaded the manual and this is what it states

i dont honestly know with msi, with asus u needed to download a bios update, put it on a floppy, had to be a floppy. and restart windows and change the setting in your bios to boot from floppy. Msi is probably different, read your manual mate
 
yes thats perfect, i updated my bios for dual cores on my old 939 rig and it worked so much better.

In theory u have nothing to lose. Just make sure you do everything it says cause if it fails u could end up with a nackered mobo. Good luck
 
hmm well i searched and didnt fint any bios update for me just a few mobo drivers one was a AMD Away Driver? i take it thats no good is it? for this bios update it just said

"Your current version is 1.60, The latest online version is 1.60, Your current version was updated and optimized
 
try unisntalling the processor in device manager and optimizer in control panel and restart, then u will have new hard ware found, let windows conect to the net to find driver, then install optimizer and restart. See if that does anything :confused:

Uninstall the processor or the ACPI thing under computer? this wont damage anything will it?

EDIT: im going to leave it until the mornign now, getting on a bit, i might format again tomorrow see if that helps r now.

Update on this i formated this morning and guess what.............seemed to work i pushed ctrl,alt,del and i seen 2 cpu usage things, good sign i thought and then i checked on cpu-z and it now says 2 cores, so i ran 3dmark 06 and get about 5600ish compared to my old score of 4718 so im happy now :D cheers for all the advice anyway lads.
