It would appear that post pandemic, the hosting website onlyfans are banning adult content.
I fail to see how it makes their side any different from patreon, floatplane and various others.

I'll be amazed if an alternative doesn't arise.
Seems an odd business decision, but maybe they think they can survive upon titillation, rather than nudity, and additionally, i wonder how many of the subsites will actually get reported, when someone has to 'pay' to sub first to then report the content.

Isn't that like... their entire business model?

It's alleged that there are some fitness and cooking channels on Onlypornfans.

There's clearly a big market for an amateur porn hosting service. I'm not convinced that payment processing companies should be in the position of enforcing their own de facto laws internationally.

Sir... I'm calling you a LIAR!

I provide proof of my statement:

Creators can post a range of content from cooking to fitness videos, but it is best known for pornography.

The BBC (and some other sources) do indeed allege that there are some fitness and cooking channels on Onlyfans. So my statement was correct.

I'm unsure of the etiquette...should I challenge you to a duel to defend my honour? In honour of Onlyfans, I think the duel should be fought with sex toys. Dildoes at dawn! :)

Well what about that.
No.. No point dueling with dildos if we can't sell the images now.

I predict this though

Seems strange - there is definitely a market for it both creators and consumers so they will simply go elsewhere.

They want to get capital investment money, and they can't get that until they clean up.

I just can't imagine that will make up for the losses long term - the main stay of their creators are those producing adult content and they won't stick around the same or the income be the same with a cleaner site.

It wasn't supposed to be. Just like Patreon before them, it wasn't designed for porn, but porn wasn't excluded. People gamed the system, created the porn "Onlyfans" phenomenon (which Onlyfans made a lot of money from), and now Onlyfans needs to shut it down to get investment money.

IIRC, there was a quote from the guy at the top of OF saying the business model was not sustainable long term, so they needed investment. To get that they need to clean up to get investment money. Like a lot of these places, they may have a lot of users, but the problem is how to monetize them. They may end up like Tumblr, killing themselves by cleaning up and negating the reason so many people go there.

Sounds like greed and mismanagement - I know a girl who makes serious money from it and she is only in something like the top 1.4% of creators and a big chunk of that goes to OF.
