Got my mag through the door the other day - Have to say... this will be the first game for my Wii since Mario Strikers and Resident Evil 4.

Apparently, the ENTIRE ONLINE experience is the best seen on the Wii to date with MANY MANY features.

Anyone else read the review?

12 PLAYER RACES ONLINE - OCUK MK FANS - START YOUR ENGINES.

Snaking has been REMOVED - Discuss - LOL

Also uncludes MOTORBIKES

EDIT:

UK RELEASE DATE - 11th April 2008

94%

Positives:
+ That addictive Mario Kart Gameplay
+ Fantastic Fun In Multiplayer
+ Loads of online options
+ The new stunt system is great
+ The Wii Wheel Works well

Comment:
We were worried that Nintendo would drop the ball on this one - how foolish we were. Mario Kart Wii is a fantastic racer and the best online Nintendo game ever.

If hosting an event thing via the MK channel, do you need to have everyones friend codes?

Was going to get this on launch day but have been let down by SOO MANY Wii games I thought i'd wait although should have known better with it being 1st party.

Got mine reserved at the high street place advertised by Richard E. Grant... gonna pick it up later this afternoon.

Dito.

Reserved mine in the early hours of the morning.

All gone now though. I must have got one of the last few. Lucky me.

Think will keep me entertained for a while, is great fun.

The wheel is just fun and I use it because it is fun.

I initially tried the wheel and loved it.

Then tried the classic pad.. but somehow it just doesnt feel right.

Tried the cube controller briefly.

Tried the Nunchuk/Wii Remote combo and this is where its at.

Can someone clarify what the online "Championship" races are all about?

Also, anyone know if it will be possible to create custom championships? As in a "OcUK Championship" for example?

Also, does anyone know if it is possible to message multiple people in your MK Wii friends list at the same to inform them to be online at a certain day/time etc? Would make it very easy to arrange races with friends.

I would have hoped you would not be included in the 12 slots.

But your right, owing to Nintendos online philosophy, a spectator probably would be one of the 12 :(
