Onward, the mil-sim tactical multiplayer shooter, has garnered a hardcore playerbase since it released on Steam Early Access a year ago, and if you want to know what all the hubbub is about surrounding what many are hailing as the end-all VR shooter, you’ll be able to get a taste from September 14-17 during the game’s free access weekend.

Tried it last night but didn't really enjoy it. Thought it was too awkward. The movement isn't right, it's too floaty. Trying to grab a nade was difficult. Reloading was a pain etc.

You would probably get used to it and it wouldn't feel so clumsy after a while, not sure I would pay for it though.

If it weren't for the dead servers that would be enough to swing me towards bullets and more. Think I'll still have to give this a crack on Sunday just in case, but bad controls really kill an experience for me

I just played an hour of this and it's awesome. Took a bit of getting used to (especially using a 12x scope), but after a while it was really good.

There was one round where I was crouched behind a stone trading fire with a guy trying to flank me. I needed to reload and yanked the clip out of my p90, went to slam a new one in, dropped it, grabbed it of the ground and slapped it in, and was just racking the slide when his mate came round and blasted me. It was intense. Also had some good sniper battles at night in the desert. I think I might have to buy this.

It's better than I though it would be, very tense, i actually just bought Pavlov on Wednesday, but as Onward has this free play weekend I have yet to actually play Pavlov, that and I still love playing Bullets and More against bots, that game is criminally ignored btw..

Ah yeah, I didn't realise that was you! Those were my first games so I'm going to pretend that I got better after them
