Spotted this for sale and you could tell from the description the person in question wasn't the tech savvy type.
It had been marked as not working purely based on the fact they have no way of testing it.
So I contacted the seller for more information and found out it use to belong to a relative who sadly passed away.
They said he use to build his own PCs, and explained they don't think he would have kept it around if it didn't work. (e.g it was probably left over from a upgrade).

Sometimes you can just tell by looking at the pictures if something has been looked after with care.
The only thing that is missing was it was not put back into an anti-static bag (or maybe they just removed the bag to take the picture who knows).

Anyway taking a chance I made an offer, how much do you reckon I nabbed it for?

There was other pictures showing the user manual and CDs in mint condition etc...

Well whoever used it didnt use the stock cooler, you can tell this simply by looking at the cooler mounts, they have put them back on the wrong way around, the middle tabs should be pointing outwards, not in, so if you do plan on buying it, make sure you dont over pay for it, I cant keep up with ASUS naming schemes, but I think that is basically an X370 board and could very well be DOA.

The IO plate has never been removed from its packaging, and many people dont bother using the supplied SATA cables etc, myself included, I just stick to the ones that are already installed in my drives, also those types of boards dont come with an anti static bag, the inner box with the lid is a secure fit and protects the board, stops it moving around.

Yeah noticed, but easy to rectify though.

Anyway picked it up for...
45 quid.

IF it works I was thinking I may fit an 1600AF and a mid range GFX card good enough for 1080p gaming and flip it locally.
Lots of parents out there looking for an low cost PC for their nippers.
