My trusty friend is now caked in 'hand grease' and is on his last legs plus im starting to feel trigger happy with my credit card....

I started looking at the Razer copperheads, i have seen some reviews and they all seem to be positive!

What im wondering is what is the best type to be using - the new Razer Krait? a Logitech or maybe a combo keyboard/mouse package, any suggestions would be most appreciated

Thanks chap & Chappesses
:p

Hey just looked at that Razer Krait now that looks nice, might get one.
I am using a Logitech G7 Laser tis very nice.

I've not tried many mice for proper gaming recently but I've been using an MX610 and an MX1000 for work, both are nice mice but I bought a G7 for home and it is highly recommended. I still think my Intellimouse v3 is still the best mouse I've ever used but it is a close run thing and the G7 is cordless.

I have a Razor Copperhead and now that i am used to it i find it great, it took some time though as going from a cheapo 800dpi (maybe even lower) to a 2000dpi mouse was somewhat of a shock to the system and thankfully the Copperhead has on the fly adjustment so i just weened myself upto the max settings.

The only real minor annoyance is that when i reboot i sometimes have to unplug it and plug it back in again as it doesn't always get detected when rebooting, cold boot it works fine 100% and also you MUST keep it plugged into the same usb port as it was plugged into when installing the config software.

Thanks for the quick replies, im gonna keep looking until something jumps out at me - 'that will be tommorow morning then!'

if you dont mess about with firmware and use it straight out of the box there is no problem with the copperhead like mine.

The only thing i have done was i downloaded the latest config software. This made it no better or worse, maybe its something to do with DFI mobo's?

i have a DFI mobo and it works fine.

I bought a Logitech dual optical mouse a few years back because the Microsoft optical mouse I used to have would freak out & lose track of where it was if I moved it too fast. What are the new mice like? These aren't dual optical from what I can see but presumably don't suffer from the type of tracking problems I encountered previously in fast paced games?

logitech g7 if you want cordless g5 for wired(this has weights in it altho im sure how much point there is in them) those razor kraits seem to be a budgetish gaming mosue similar to the diamondbacks.

We could probably do with a "mouse recommendations" generic thread/sticky, we get this so often.

I use a logitech G5 myself, and it is the nicest mouse I have ever had, it was a huge step up from my MX510 (which was itself a ncie step up from my generic optical PoS that I had before that), and its absolutely brilliant.

God knows then  doesn't do it very often and only when i reboot like after a driver / virus checker update so not often enough to get that annoyed about as the rear of my pc is easily accessable.
