Ooooo crysis!

Finally now I have a PC that can play it, I got to find out what all the hype was about. Borrowed it from a mate and loving it so far, only about 30 minutes in but this is the fix i've been needing since Far Cry. FC is probably in my top 5 ever games, played through maybe 6 or 7 times, never gets boring, just hope crysis has the replayability too.

Only on medium settings but even that looks sweet, seriously considering upgrading some components just to have it on better settings, even use the tweak to have DX10 graphics on XP as well, might cost too much in parts though

Have to agree i played it on my 7800GT before on medium/low settings but now i can play it on very high and i just love blowing things up

Well put the settings on high and have to say it looks sweet and plays like a dream, i love this game...so far

+1, the only other problem is no game should require more then 2 bullets to the chest to kill, 3 anywhere... crysis needs like 15 bullets to the chest.

counter stike is more realistic than crysis, and i HATE counter strike

I got this game last weekend to see what all the fuss was about. Currently playing with e8400 and 4870 at stock along with 4gb ram, running smoothly enough for me at 1680x1050, 2XAA and Medium/High settings.

Got a bit stuck taking out the 2nd North Korean AA (stupid whirly bird in the air and can't find any rockets to take the thing down) but am enjoying it so far. Only other problem to arrive is I hate scary alien games. So wonder how long I'll last later on

Farcry was more scalable - sure it looked a bit like pixel-shaded Quake 3 at lower settings, but it would run on most chips (including integrated solutions).

Even the demo level (first level of full game) I played over a dozen times! Crysis is a really great game imo and I'm still surprised that there's so much hating.

It looked ok even on the low settings, my problem was with the aiming/shooting, a real pita the ass getting decent shots off.

Ahh , but as we don't have one of those suits, we can't tell how much punishment it can take. Remember this game isn't trying to real, it has aliens robot things flying around.

Strength mode has less recoil and single shot mode totally changes the guns
