Ooops - Deleted PS3 Account - Unable to Play Game

2 1/2 years ago I bought and downloaded GT5 Prologue. I've just set up a new account on the PS3 and deleted the old account.

I should have seen this coming....The game is still there but I'm getting a message:

'the content can be played but the password needs to be stored on the system' or something :(

Any way of getting the downloaded game to pay again under the new account ?

Do I just re set up the old account on the PS3 with the username & password ?
 
Basically the PSN account you bought GT5P with is the owner of the game and needs to be present on the system to play it.

For example Ive got some stuff from the other regional PSNs and without them on my PS3 and active as user/PSN profiles I cant access their content even if its already been downloaded...

If you press triangle on the content and go to information it will tell you who the owner is - that relates to the user profile (the list under the Users XMB). I think then you need to ensure the PSN profile (one that lets you onto the network) you used to buy that item is then linked with that same user profile...

That'll be me and I feel like a bit of a div at the moment as all I had to do is log in and play it from that account which I thought had been deleted.

I must be getting old :confused:

Still, if the account password is saved on the system I should be able to play it from either account, right ?
 
If user of that content is present on that PS3 then you can be logged in as any user on the same PS3 to play it AFAIK. For example I dled Rag Doll Kung Fu from the US Store when it was free and can play it on my UK account fine...

The only thing I wondered was did you use the same User account with the same old PSN account when you tried again? I dont know if it matters but did notice that when you check games the owner name it picks up is not your PSN name but the User name...

So my games say 'Omkar' as the Owner not polynomial007 which is my PSN ID

Account 1 - bought GT5 Prologue
Account 2 - PSN ID
Deleted Account 2
Created Account 3 - New PSN ID
Unable to play GT5 Prologue in new account 3

Not too fussed as all I wanted was to play GT5 Prologue tomorrow when the G27 arrives tomorrow so all good now.

For a moment I thought I'd buggered it up !

Sorry I think I might have confused you.

If account 1 is still there then I dont get why account 3 is having a problem since account 2 has nothing to do with the original purchase.

Only fixed in the sense that it's playable in the original account which I thought I'd deleted
(I hadn't, hence me feeling like a bit of a div) but it's still unplayable in account 3 but meh.

Again, thanks for the suggestions.
