Oops.. 3 operating systems..

I like my MBP even more.. accidently clicked the wrong thing my accident..

Poor thing only has 4GB but it's running, simultaneously:

* Parallels - WindowXP install (plus all other stuff) sucked from my work laptop full screen on my 1650x1050 external monitor.. with 2GB 'RAM' allotted.

* Parallels - kubuntu 8.04 install running KDE with 1GB allotted. (oops!)

* OSX apps - safari, mail, cal, address book, skype..

Lol.. 3 operating systems in one go.. and it's running surprisingly quickly!

Only have a 120GB HDD.. so perhaps a switch to a 128GB SLC SSD may be a good investment!

any particular reason for running all that other than you can?

not sure that 8gb extra for a stupid price is worth it.

Be better off putting it toward a Mac Pro

Ahh well I use it just to run the blackfin GCC toolchain for compiling the firmware without having lots of rubbish on my Leopard install.

The work install (XP) is my day job.. rather than make space to two laptops at home..

Take one robot. Take Quartz Composer and interface:

So the video feed is coming in (although slowly) from the robot rather than iSight.. simply by using my little patch

I'll be abusing it with CIImage and OpenCL when it comes out..
