I accidentally flashed a HIS x800pro 12p with a x800 GTO2 bios, as I was trying to unlock the extra pipes.

Now there is no display :(

If I put a PCI display card in the rig and re-flashed the original BIOS, would that work?

thanks...

YES :)

unless the clocks and memory are diffrent if thats *** case you might have fryed em....

That was quick :)
The HIS x800 AGP will do 560core / 1100 mem which is > a GTO2 and I never could unlock the extra pipes so GREAT, a £23 PCI card (to fix with) is cheaper than an equivalent card on AGP, ta

hehe £23 hell you could get yourself a PCI card for about £10 off ebay with 2meg of sdram hehe, all you need is a display :) nothing fancy.

you dont even need a display if you have access to another pc which you could make an automatic flash disc

I think I could make such a disc but the borked pc wont boot off a cd or do anything since flashing

Sure You could tell it not to try to make anthing of what it see's residing in the AGP slot when You get a PCI card.. :D

I'll give an auto floppy boot disc a go before getting a PCI card.

I have a normal boot floppy & flasrom.exe & his.bin (original bios).
how do I make it auto boot & flash to his.bin ?
ta

You need to write an autoexc file to tell the pc what to do,

Suggest You google as You need all the correct switches on the commands or it won't work

Daww it wont post with the x800 plugged, reckon it will post with a PCI card in as well?

If you have a motherboard like mine then it will post alright...

on my dfi board i have a setting in the bios where i can pick what type of card to use PCI or PCI-EX as first card ect..... :)

thankfully the bios he used was mine and as such his clocks should remain untouched. he just needs to flash it back,

if you can get me the bios i will try to make you the ISO for it, youl still need that PCI card though, get a wanted add up on members market for one, im sure youl get one for £3 to £7.

thanks a lot, I've got the bios, only 55kb (I know the website with all ATI BIOS's but they sell cards too)
whats your email? or email me from my website below.
I'll go ocuk tomorrow get a PCI card.

Just got an ATI 7000 PCI card and when the x800 is in the PC as well it will not post even after setting in BIOS to boot from PCI first.

Any ideas apert from chucking the x800 in the bin?

How would you fix it?

Its possible its your motherboard at fault and not picking up the card correctly, but its pointless sending me it anyway as i dont have AGP lol :P
