What do people think of this? Is it me or is the game generally very bland?
I started to play it but it really didnt grab me for the first 30 minutes, or did I not give it a chance?

I didn't like it at first but now I find it very absorbing & initial frustrations with restarting from very limited checkpoints no longer bothers me.
In fact getting killed & restarting gives you a chance to take a different route & right now I'm near the end & driving a tank up over the hills trying to evade a rocket launcher that I can't get the better of without sneaking in from the rear

This was my experience. I ended up ditching my team and just basically playing slow Call of Duty because trying to organise them into making strategic attacks was so much more difficult and less likely to succeed than personally running straight at the enemy and spam firing.

The perfect opposite to ArmA2. It has a lot more polish but its so very very bland. Im finding it difficult to motivate myself to play it.

Given up on Opp flash 2. I got to the last level but I just cant be bothered to finish it. Popped it on ebay, perhaps someone else will get some enjoyment out of it.

Its not that its too realistic, personally I like realistic games. I think its quite arcady to be honest. You cant use mouse look when you are driving jeeps (On the vary rare occasions that you can actually drive one) and when you drive over a rock or bump you jump 50m in the air!

It has no where near the quality, ambition or atmosphere of OFP: Cold war crisis. Very dissapointed.

It was an unfinished, buggy console port with no SADS support and even less community support. Its amazing it lasted this long tbh.

and there you go

After liaising with the dev team, it will not be possible to implement standalone dedicated servers post-launch for the game.

5 weeks after release - Dead, doesn't get over 100 players on line any more. But the CM fools are advertising DLC lol

What seems to be worse is that they have waited until after the 28/30 day period of returns to actually announce something they have clearly known all along.
