Win7 question

Im suppost to be able to hover my pointer over the Explorer icon on the task bar to get a small version of all open pages, all i infact get is a list of what pages are open.

How do i get the pictures of open pages?

Also there is a rectunglar box on the task bar, bottom right. Hovering the mouse over this is suppost to make all windows transparent, this doesnt happen. The only thing that rectangle does is minimise all windows then i click it.

Those features require Aero to be enabled, it sounds like it is disabled on your system. This could be for a variety of reasons which you'll need to investigate, what is your Windows Experience Index listed under Computer > System Properties? This will let you know if your system should be able to run Aero.

Its 5.9. Looked it up, there definatally no reason my system couldnt be up to spec for it. Is there an icon for it in the control panel? Can see anything that i can change options for.

If you run a program which is known to cause problems with the new window compositing system, windows will disable aero.

I use Intervideo WinDVR3 to watch live TV through my TV card, when I fire it up, aero goes away.

Check to see if you are running any software which can cause aero to be disabled by Windows.
