Open links from metro mail app in desktop IE possible?

Hi,

I use the mail app in windows 8 as Outlook 2013 doesn't display emails right in high contrast mode. Clicking a link in an email loads the metro IE, I would like to have the desktop version open if possible.

As far as I know you'd need to have the desktop ie as the default browser but that would lose the metro ie.

My win 8 mail app opens in palemoon which is my default browser.

Found it Theres an option in internet options --> programs.
