Open Office 1.1.5 and 2.2 - Help!

Ok, being a cheapskate and everything I've decided to use Sun Microsystems - Open Office.

Recently it started bringing up messages saying 'soffice.BIN has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.'

There's also an error report.

So, I decided to uninstall it, and put in the newest version. Couple days later it does the same thing. Now I tried running the install again and repairing it but after I've repaired it, within a day or so it starts bringing up these errors again.

I'm lost for ideas.

Are you using the latest Java runtime? I was under the impression Openoffice was heavily dependant on it, so it may help.

I'd check you have the latest Java as well.

And this is the first time you've ever tried OO so no chance of any previous installs borking your PC?

Check out the OO support pages with the error message info. There might be something there to help.
