I can't believe it!
We are just about to finish a major roll-out at work so that all of our Windows users will be be on Office 2007.
We were waiting for the release of Open Office 3 so that the new file formats would be supported and yes, indeed, OO3 users can indeed open docx & xlsx files.
However they can't write back in that format.
So we're back a step - we can upgrade everyone to Office 2007 but we'll have to continue using the old file formats to keep the Linux users happy.
Does anyone know if there are any plans for Open Office 3 to be able to write to the new file formats as well at anytime in the near future?
