Original C&C and Red Alert via open source, so it works on Windows 7 and multiplayer lobbies work etc. Early stages but could be good soon.

OpenRA is an Open Source, Real Time Strategy game engine. Its primary focus is on creating an extendable platform to recreate games in the style of the early Command & Conquer games. It includes as official mods reimaginings of Command & Conquer and Command & Conquer: Red Alert.

We've tried to closely follow the spirit of the original games, while modernizing the interface, adding new units, rebalancing the gameplay and making use of today's powerful graphics processors. Our emphasis is on the multiplayer experience, though support for single-player campaigns are in progress.

Please note: OpenRA is currently at an alpha release stage. If you encounter a problem, please report it to the IRC channel or the bug-tracker.

OpenRA should run on any modern PC running Windows, Mac OS X or Linux. Requires Microsoft .NET Framework v3.5 SP1 or later; or an up-to-date version of Mono.

Yeah I think its new, still in alpha stage. It worked for me but sometimes the textures went a bit weird - hopefully sorted out soon. The multiplayer bit was the most interesting as it will mean you can play these without needing VPN software and things.
 
First Transport Tycoon, then Theme Hospital... I'm really liking this whole open sourcing of old games like this, letting us continue to play them on modern systems, as well as being able to modify them to make them into better games.

One question though, how can they do this with the graphics? I mean, the games are available for free, but surely EA still own the graphics, and knowing how they react to things like this, couldn't they go after this game for doing this?
 
If this is true and redalert works properly online with a lobbys then i will jizz myself

edit - downloaded - looks like a nice start but "failed to contact master server" looks like it should be very good though, but a lot of work is needed I think

I played it again earlier, its buggy but has good potential. Some of the tweaks to C&C are good - i.e. you can see the radius coverage a defence structure has when clicking on it, GDI and NOD have some shared structures, both teams get air strikes..

Managed to get into a game too. They need to sort the keybaord scroll and/or mouse scroll. Some bugs with units flickering etc Maybe a game speed setting would be good and options for mouse clicks similar to redalert 1 original

Can see it being very good in a year or so :)

Did a quick 2 player on LAN earlier, worked great :)

Quite funny on a 37" TV as well - most the map on the screen.
