As per the title - what's the best around?
I'm looking for something which is similar or directly apes Adobe After Effects if possible (as GIMP to Photoshop)
Or failing that what can I use in Linux to simply split a file into sections in separate files? (then I could do the editing in After Effects on a windows machine afterwards - I just want to do some of the more boring clip-selection part of the process on my laptop when I have a spare moment here or there)
