I've spent quite a while with this rubbish its over 7 GB in file size and looked good on the open sauce website so I downloaded it and it comes in a ZIP file I waited a while to extract it and all it offers is a setup file to install C+ and that is it all the other files are just garbage random files that do nothing and no other setup files. How the hell is anybody suppose to use this. Its a waste of my time I deleted it all but now I'm missing 10 GB of my storage. Has anybody else had any luck with this garbage?

I got my drive space back by doing a clean up of temporary files. I will never know why people write programs like these then don't bother to make them work.

What even is Open Space Exploration? Is it this...
As that's the first result from Google when i searched.

If you download the source distribution then yeah you need to compile it before you can do anything, that is kind of the point. Usually there is someone distributing the compiled source either directly from the GitHub or indirectly.

I think this:

Says there is an executable in the download there, I'm guessing other sources just link to the GitHub source files and you need to follow the getting started guide to compile and grab the data.

I don't understand how the programs work. I don't think I've got the patience to sit and work it all out. What I'm really looking for is an open source sort off flight simulator educational/game where I can fly around the solar system exploring the planets and moons. I'm unsure as to whether such a thing exists. I know there have been various games released over the years but they haven't really met my expectations. I'm not much of a gamer but I do quite fancy a space flight simulator game or something along those lines.

there are loads of games like that.. open source ones however i’m not sure

Though not open source, there is Space Engine though I don't know much about it and the website isn't responding for me right now.
