Hi all, new to the forums. i have been browsing ocuk for the last week or two thinking about building a new system. i built the system i am using now about 3 years ago so i need another that will last me as long. I have put a shopping list together of parts that i am thinking of purchasing but like everything technology has gone quicker than me and i find myself not really knowing what is best.

i purchased the BenQ G2400W 24" Widescreen HDMI/HDCP LCD HD Monitor last week as a start to the project. i just need some advice now regarding the rest of the list.

p.s i dont really want to go over a grand with the remainder of the parts.

thanks in advance :o

thanks for the reply's guys, quite a lot to ponder on.

so is it better to put one decent gpu in rather than two? i thought i read somewhere that you can get better scores with two cards running?

also i am thinking of purchasing vista, is this a wise option?

thanks for the advice. i am def thinking about the one card now and some of these specs look awesome.

is it better to get a duo processor at 3.0 or a quad at 2.66?
