"Open with" dialogue

Hi all,

Im running xp pro and whenever i click any video file or mp3 file, it ALWAYS comes up with the "Open with" dialogue box asking what to open it with. Even if i click the tickbox "always open with this....".

I also have wmplayer set in the options to be defualt for all file types.

Any way i can force it to open wmplayer on video/mp3 files?

tools menu --> folder options --> file types --> select your file type and appropriate action...

Do you have any other media players installed?

haveyou tried opening the player first and click File > Open, see if it works.

yeah, but even when i only had wmplayer installed, the same still happened.

yeah, ofc that works, but it **** just open it str8 with wmplayer when i click it, really annoying to keep on choosing wmplayer.
