I installed the trial of Parallels and gave it a shot, but didn't really get on with it, so I removed it by mounting the .dmg and running the uninstaller in there.
However, it's still showing Windows apps via the Boot Camp partition as applications to open things with. Say if I have a Word document sent to me by e-mail, it tries to open it with Word which it complains that it can't find. I think I've fixed it and persuaded it to use Pages instead, but it still shows Word as the default, and I imagine it will do the same for Excel or whatever else I end up trying to open.
Is there any way I can cleanse the OS of all things Parallels? Is this something to do with the .plist files in /home/me/Library/preferences? I found a bunch of stuff in there but didn't want to go deleting willy-nilly without knowing what I was doing.
