Opendedup

I wonder if anyone can help, i'm a total linux noob. I was trying out the opendedup virtual appliance, which I have installed and set up fine, but I'm a bit lost about what to do next.

How do I connect to the file system and upload files to it?

I'm hoping to use windows to connect to the filesystem but I thought I would ask here as it's built on linux.

Any pointers gratefully received.

i backup multiple machines on to one volume and there is a lot of duplicate files, so i'm hoping to use this to save space. The documentation just goes over my head and i can't work out if it can do what i want (transfer files over a network drive to the virtual appliance)
