Afternoon.
Started using OpenDNS a few days ago, decided it was time to give it a try, and I have it set up on my laptop and my computer.
I use Firefox as my web browser, and I am used to typing something in the URL area (or 'Awesome bar' as they like to call it) and getting google results, or even a direct link to the webpage I wanted. For example, if I type in 'bbc news', and hit enter, it would take me directly to the bbc news homepage.
Since I have started using OpenDNS, every time I attempt this, it routes it through the OpenDNS search engine, something that is starting to annoy me, and also slowing down my browsing noticeably.
It looks like this - http://guide.opendns.com/?url=firefox
I have tried disabling shortcuts and the OpenDNS proxy, but it still forces any non-url that is entered to go straight through its own search engine, and bring up results.
I would like to enjoy both OpenDNS, and Firefox's built in URL bar, anyone know if there is any way past this? Any help at all is appreciated.
I am using the latest version of Firefox.
Thanks in advance!
