Ok so please bear with me, I've had a few beers.

You've probably heard about OpenBanking and all that stuff, but why dont we have OpenEmails?

Would that not solve the worlds problems with people receiving spam - you have to give permission for companies to email you?

Rather than having a safe sender list, you can’t actually receive anything without giving permission to do so.

Sure, I mean if you configure your whitelist/blacklist correctly (omg racist) then you can have exactly that.

You mean like ticking a box that says "only allow emails from senders in my contacts list"?

Pretty sure that's a thing.
