Anyone got an idea why this is occuring?

The app fires up after this exception message but doesn't have values for the CPU temps.
 
Ok since no-one else has answered I'll have a stab.

Try right-clicking>run as Admin, or if that doesn't work you may need to disable driver-signing from the Safe Mode menu.

Also update to the latest version if you haven't already.
 
If you get it working you may need to go into the uguru setup, and re-select your temperature options.
