Openoffice 3.3 Cant save as .doc files.

Sorry to ask in here, but since i'm unable to register for their own forums (activation wont come through to my mail) I'll ask here...

Got an .odt file, and it refuses to save as a .doc file have tried everything i can think of, Openoffice just sits there frozen up if i try to save it as anything other than an .odt file :mad:

Please help.

Open Office is dead in the water, try doing it with Libre Office.

Given that it might just be something is wrong with the document its self.

oh it is? haha never knew i barely used document writers.

Yea, the devs of open office got fed up with the increasing intrusion of Oracle in to the project so they broke of and formed their own version of open office, based on the original principals of openess and inovation.

Already in the last year or so, more work has been done on libre office than has been doen with open office.

open office died when it was bought by oracle.

Thanks for that, seems like saving it as a .doc wont work anyway. but i'll make do, cheers
