Indeed. In addition to that it's faster in that environment. On Windows and OS X it's dog-slow. On Linux it's so fast I'm always surprised when it starts.I think where OpenOffice comes into its own is on Linux. A PC running Ubuntu with OpenOffice would be a very suitable setup for a family etc wanting a cheap PC to surf the Internet, send emails, chat on IM clients and do the odd bit of writing letters and finance management.![]()
