Three weeks ago my solid ADSL Max (7000 sync and 650 download via giginanews) went crazy, and the Current Line Rate dropped to 576kb, and my router dropped the 7000kb sync after only a few sconds.
I phoned eclipse and after lots of time on the phone a week later a guy from BT called. He wasn't much help and asked me to wait three days and get back eclipse if there is no improvement. There was none, still 576kb and disconnects.
Eclipse asked me to try another router, so I tried my old stingray speedtouch usb, and that did hold a connection, unlike the router. Problem solved or so I thought. I tried a friends router so I could be confident when RMAing my router and it done the same thing, disconnecting ever few seconds. Also, two weeks later, my Current Line Rate is still 576kb despite the modem syncing and staying connected at 6000.
So, another BT bloke is coming monday, and I wonder if anyone has any advice, as the last one that came out was useless.
My line stats are currently (2km from exchange):
Line rate 6304 UP 448 DOWN
ReceiveAttenuation 35
ReceiveMargin 9
