Openreach no longer thinks my address can get fttc?

Hi all,

Once in a while I check the link below to see if openreach has any updates on fttp in my area but now I check it and it seems to think I can't even get fttc which is really odd as I have lived and received 30mb fttc for well over 2 years at this property...I checked a few other addresses on my road and the same issue plus on some other ISP's sites and it's the same...not really an issue now but what happens if I want to switch ISP?!

Anyone seen anything similar?

It's most likely that the cabinet is full so you can't be given a new FTTC line. You'll just have to keep trying it and hope that a port frees up.

Ok so as I already have fttc I should be fine if I stay with my current ISP....

Correct, but you won't be able to move providers until there's a free port, the Openreach system won't allow them to order IIRC.

Shame as clearly nothing physical needs to happen...oh well my ISP is ok but clearly we need some upgrades done in our area...
