Hi all

I've used Firefox for many years with the AdBlock Plus addon. In the spirit of trying, I'm giving Opera 10 a whirl to see how it fairs. However, I absolutely must have something like AdBlock Plus to be able to consider switching, and I am struggling to find any solution for Opera.

Does anyone have any hints and tips as far as blocking ads is concerned? I've Googled, but the responses don't seem to link to any sort of easily installable addon, they link to configuring .ini files, etc, and I don't want to have to do that.

Many thanks

Michael.

Right click the page (not an image) > block content.

You can then click the objects you want to block.

Does that not mean I have to individually click every advert to block? I should have been clearer, what I really want is an adblock subscription like AdBlock plus. That automatically removes all adverts from webpages without having to manually click and remove each. Sorry, should have said that in my first post!

I'm also after a Flash blocker too.

Thanks

It blocks flash too, and you can either click, which will block all similar adverts, or shift-click which blocks individual items.

Great thanks giving it a whirl now! I've noticed that I can either block Flash content completely, or have it displayed. Anyway to block it so that it doesn't auto-play, but it remains visible on the page so that I can click on it to play it should I choose?
