Opera have released version 11.50 of their browser today. It's known as Swordfish. I think it looks pretty good. They've worked on a sleeker, slimmer GUI and it does feel noticeably that it takes up less space.

Opera 11.50 is equipped with our newest rendering engine: Presto 2.9.168 featuring up to 20% faster rendering of CSS and SVG, support for HTML5 tag <time>, Session History and Navigation and many enhancements more.

The changelog is pretty long so I'll link to it. :)

If its not there then right click on the main toolbar > Customize > Appearance > Buttons and go to the Browser category. There are three columns of icons on my screen. At the bottom of the first column is the Home icon for me. Click and drag it to where you want it on the toolbar.

Splendid, recently started using Opera. Previously used Firefox but started disliking it since version 4.

Last time i was using Opera was version 8, it's come far.

Just installed this and loving it :) Best browser I have used (imo of course) :p
Glad you like. I always feel a bit weird when Opera gets updated as I miss the "old" version and its interface but I always feel at home with the new version very quickly. :)

Nice one. I used Firefox until I discovered Opera at Uni. I think it was 9.20 that I started with and I've been with Opera ever since. I did try Iron but went back to Opera and I still have Firefox/IE installed in case I need them.

Same here!!..

Liking the new 11.50 so far!..

anyone know how to make the forums black like I did with 'Stylish' in firefox?? :)

Haven't used Opera for years since I switched to Chrome but I might give this a whirl as I recall quite liking Opera back then.

I gave Chrome a try out a while ago before ditching it for Iron. I thought Chrome/Iron looked lovely and felt very streamlined and fast but lacking in features and customisation options that Opera offers. Chrome really reminds me of Google's homepage, very basic, very quick, looks lovely but not much going on. Or at least not enough to keep me happy. ;)

I must say that I'm very disgusted with Opera! It's taken a massive 8 days for them to release information about their next version of Opera!! :p:D It's called 'Wahoo'. :o:confused:

Now, 8 days since Opera Swordfish is successfully hunting out in the deep, warm waters, with more than 32 000 000 downloads, we would like to use the opportunity to thank you all for the excellent help and support in making Opera 11.50 our most successful release ever!

And since the weather outside of Opera’s HQ is somewhat tropical (relatively warm, with pouring rains), our developers were able to catch one of the fastest tropical fishes in the world So today we are happy to present you with the very first snapshot of our next major release, codenamed Wahoo (what will eventually become version 12). It’s currently in its embryo pre-alpha state and only includes some important bug fixes and overall polishing, with all the fresh and juicy stuff coming a bit later ;)

Not the biggest changelog so I'll post it. :)
