Hallo all :)

Wondering if any of you could offer some help with this. Opera 9.51 just refuses to auto-refresh or update websites.

For example after I post this thread to the OcUk forum I will leave this site. When I return to the forum I wont see my post. I have to visit the forum then manually press Refresh and then I see what I've posted.

This happens all websites I visit using Opera. It doesnt seem to want to update and this manual refreshing is fast becoming a pain in the ass  I really dig Opera and would not want to leave it so help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I will know for sure in a bit cuz Im gonna post this reply, exit Opera and then load up this forum again to see if this reply appears without me having to manually press refresh. Hang tight!

*EDIT* = Ok it works! WOOT

Good stuff guys :)
Sorry Marc no idea when the release is actually out. I suspect fairly soon though. They've been chucking them out recently! I just really wish they'd get a move on with a proper 9.5 mobile release, thats what i actually want! :(

Anyone else using Opera 9.52? I'm seeing quite high mem usage rates with Opera 9.52. High as in only one tab open and no media or anything like that.

Something is going slow whilst i'm using the latest release, but i haven't bothered tracking it down, and it has been open for a least a day solid with about 30 tabs. Plus i usually have 5 MSN convos random PDF'a, windows home server connector and general explorer windows open. So tbh it could be anything for me :p its not slow enough for me to work out if it is opera. But i've noticed a slightly slower than usual response of some tabs...

Hmmm...9.52 blazes on my system TBH and I've noticed no real problems - apart from the usual issue of websites not optimized for Opera. This is perhaps the most annoying thing lol. For example I cannot log into my Play.com account from Opera. I have to use IE. The "My Account" on Play.com link just REFUSES to work in Opera.

Apart from that Im happy with it :)

Woo, not just me! Opera and Play did work but not anymore. :(

What system have you got?

You know what? This problem started after Play.com upgraded their site. Beforehand everything was good and I did all my transactions in Opera. Ever since that update its been flaky!

So now I've downloaded Firefox 3 for the sole purpose of using Play.com lol.

As for my system its in my sig hee hee :)

This thread prompted me to give opera a go - i have been using IE and the IEpro add on for ages now. I never really liked firefox (although i have only really used it under linux), but opera seems pretty good + pretty quick. It does make me wonder how long it will be before IE has a speeddial setting. I havent noticed any memory usage issues (well, i guess its using a little bit more than normal) and play.com works fine for me. I think this could replace IE for me...
