It's kind of the Saab of browsers in my mind.

I like it too, use it on some machines and on android, firefox on others.

Actually, I tried this for a little bit and I have to say performance wise it seemed better yes. The only thing I found iffy was the fonts.

Chrome needs some TLC at the moment. It needs some performance focused tweaks.

This website can lag in Firefox and Chrome but I found it better in Opera.

However I recently read that Opera is going to get bought out by a Chinese consortium.

I've been really impressed with Vivaldi 1.3(64 bit) browser, probably my favourite Chromium based browser, has a lot of the old Opera features before Opera went Chromium based.
