Opera Mini won't connect but inbuilt browser will? (Nokia 7610)

When running Opera I tell it to connect to the same access point the inbuilt browser does but get the error "failed to connect)

Really not sure why this is happening as the inbuilt browser connects fine through the access point.

Help!

In the settings, have you tried changing Socket to HTTP?

No option to change socket that I can see?

Tried loads of settings from the web but no joy.

Internal browser works....but Opera, Gmail, Google Maps cannot connect to the net.

Menu > Tools > Settings > Under the Network section, set the Protocol to HTTP.

What network are you with?
