Hello all :)

Any Opera users - could you please advice. There are a number of forums I visit. In all of them I select the "Remember me" box so that I dont have to keep logging in each time I go there - OcUk being an example.

This works fine - except for a few sites that always defeat Opera. Theres my local dance-music forum that I visit often but *always* have to log into. Even if if I navigate to another website and go back to the forum within a few seconds I have to log in *again* to reply to a thread or make a new post

I have checked all of Operas settings and made sure that it was not blocking the site cookies etc and all is well. Yet it just cannot "remember" that Im supposed to be logged in

Which is baffling because it works just fine for the others - I can come to OcUK after not having posted for weeks and dont need to log in! I can just arrive here and reply/post a new thread etc.

Any ideas...? Thanx!!! :)

If you are using 9.1, i think you'll find it's a built in problem. I had the same thing, plus pages would hang for a few seconds just before fully loading. In the end i gave up and changed to Firefox Which was a shame because i still prefer Opera, but those two problems got on my nerves.

I've had a lot of issues with opera lately, and it seems to do with how it handles sessions. One solution I found was to turn off caching in the options - for some reason opera was caching pages it shouldn't which would cause sessions to expire prematurely. I'm not sure if this will sort out your problem, but it might be worth a try.

Thanks for the replys, will give those suggestions a try. I came to Opera from FireFox and while FF is very capable with loads more extensions I still prefer Opera hee hee.
