Operation Flashpoint 2 - E3 Presentation

Looks awesome!

Would rather it not go to consoles, but nevertheless, it should mean the online aspect is a bit better, but the controls are a bit worse.

The PC will surely benefit from the modding community which if OFP2 is anything like the first will be jumped on.

Ye me too. Never thought I'd say that an Operation flashpoint game strong point was its graphics but the developers seem to have brought the game forward a lot. Just hope they get the balance right this time. Just because the original game went for full on realism doesn't mean the overall movement had to feel clunky and awkward
 
I hope all these fantastic-looking vehicles don't just have hitpoints like in OFP1. I remember you could kill an M1 Abrams just by shooting it enough with an MP5.

Isn't this the one that the original developers of OFP have nothing to do with?

Its still being published by Codemasters but the company Bohemia Interactive are working on ARMA now I think instead of Op flash 2. They might be making ARMA 2, not 100% sure on that just yet

Well according to Wikipedia there is a ARMA 2 and its out this year. Interesting...

Codemasters surely seems like they are making a nice game. I really hope they keep or improve the realism of the first game.
Bohemia Interactive is working on ARMA2 and it seems that they won't repeat the mistakes they made with the first ARMA game. ARMA was simply too buggy, seems only somewhat better than the original Operation Flashpoint and didn't have the feel of the first game.
 
This is looking amazing. It sounds as though they're really sticking to the original in terms of realism and depth, I can't wait.
