Good preview on the game, it looks like its gonna be brilliant, and staying true to the original. Also gonna support octocores, as this game is gonna be quite powerhungry going by the pics and how much will be going on.

I just hope they stop the ai from being able to one shot you from five miles away with an AK .

Are they going to make it so it doesnt feel like you are controlling a man with 9 legs and 8 arms? The general feel of the game when running around was clunky as all hell. The MP setup stank too.
That being said I still spent a lot of time playing it. Enjoyed the freedom of movement. They need to take OFP, add improved visuals and the "direct" control feel of modern FPSs.

I hated the original

the only game that I was gutted I'd paid for

just could not get into it, couldn't see what the fuss was about, felt like a badly made COD

Don't know how you figured that, since it was released 2 years before Call of Duty.

You obviously didn't get the point if you're comparing it to COD.

Are magazine scans allowed on the forum? I'd love to know some more info that was featured in the magazine. May be some bullet points, bakes?

Op Flashpoint - Awesome
ArmA - Awesome (with patches)

I'm hoping for more of the same with OpF2 with good performance from the word go. Co-op play is where the fun's at, even a shoddily made multiplayer map is enjoyable.

Some info from the mag:

Background story is a war for oil on a tiny island claimed separately by russia, china and japan. The island 220-odd square kilometres it includes rolling hills, forests, swamps and an extinct volcano.

Huge battlefields, why?
They have to be massive to accomodate real world tank tactics. They have to stretch on and on to give aircraft time to turn and make another pass.

Also the campaign can be done in co-op.
Also coming out on xbox360 but the graphics aint gonna be as nice. For example the cockpit is highly detailed with computer screens all lit up, you really do need to see the pics, unfortuntly the xbox360 will lose out to these extra graphical lovilness:)

i reinstalled it many times (every few years) to see if i was being harsh on it...

that's how i figured that :)

the control system just seemed really awkward, 'press j to take hand out of pocket ' etc... :D

OFP was awesome, especially after they patched it up.
ArmA is also awesome but again, after they patched it up :P

I wont hold my breath about OFP2 seeing as its being made by Codemasters.
