Operton 146 Overclocking

Hi just joined!
Last week I bought an Operton 146 CAB2E 0602, does anyone know if this is a "dog". I'm having trouble overclocking, it will not go over 2.3!
I'm not looking for a vast increase but at least 2.6 which is not unreasonable.
any idea's or is this going to ebay!

Had my Opteron running at 3.0GHz fairly easily, so I'm sure you can get that running at least 2.6-2.8GHz unless it's a poor chip.

What motherboard, ram and cooling do you have for a start?

Motherboard is an A8N-SLI SE on air, 4 x 256 corair value 3-3-3-8-2T
I suspect it a bad chip, ok the memory is not great but it will not be holding it back that much

Try running the RAM on a divider.FYI the ram IS probably exactly what is stopping it.

Changed memory to 333 and is now running at 2.7, so now I will play a bit more! If any one has one of these ( 0602) what did you get it to?

thats a great stepping imo... mines the same stepping, just google it most seem to be going 3ghz easy, i know mine does , only problem i have with mine is bad contact/concave ihs so 1.5v = 57-60c load.

so i run with 1.4v and still get 2.9ghz.
