Hi soon I will be building my first gaming PC after christmas. I've been looking at building one for a good 12 months. My budget is £1200 for everything. This is what I'm looking at:
-Intel I-5 4670K Haswell
-Asrock extreme 6ac mobo
-R9 280X
-Corsair 8GB low profile ram
-1TB western digital caviar blue HDD
-256 GB Samsung evo SSD
-Bitfenix prodigy toxic case
-Cooler master storm quickfire cherry mx brown key
-Razer death adder
I'm stuck for a monitor I'm looking for a 120HZ 16:10
All help will be greatly appreciated

As it's not till after Xmas these specs aren't much help anyway. Prices will change, hell we might even see the AMD 290s with better coolers by then.

I would suggest you try and blag some stuff as crimbo gifts i.e mouse, keyboard maybe a cooler etc. When you are close to pulling the trigger to buy we can help you balance out a build then.

Wow thanks a lot. I had just woke up when I posted and I seemed to of forgotten a fairly vital part. I've got keyboard and mouse sorted. I could do with a mobo with a WiFi card, any suggestions once again thanks :-)

The MSI and the GB mini-itx mobos have Wifi and Bluetooth. The GB mobo has the CPU socket very close to the PCI-E slot. You need to be careful picking coolers as it may overhang the PCI-E slot and obviously you want to use that for the GPU. This is why I used the H80, you can use the H100 but then you can't fit an optical drive in the case. You can always get an external ODD if you choose or just install the OS by a USB memstick.

As I said prices change, we always try to balance things out and work in the weekly offers to help get the best for your cash. Weekly offers change on a wednesday so these specs we've done now won't be valid for long ;)

It's mATX for a start. If you'll only be using one GPU I'd stick with the ITX Prodigy as it has better air flow.
