I read somewhere on here (can't find the thread now lol) that this combination would be a good buy for a sub £100 case/psu.

Case

PSU

Any thoughts/suggestions?

Thanks

I have a Zen, they are a good budget case. The quality of the panels and other things on it aren't superb and it can be quite tight in there depending on what components you have. Overal though if you have a budget then its a good case to go for. £29 is quite a bargain!

Good choice PSU by the way, another great budget selection.

Personally I would spend a little more on the case and get the lian li pc-7, it comes in at under £100 (£60 + £40 for the psu - excluding P&P) but thats not to say the case you picked isnt any good

Looked at the PC7 but thought it was a little bit out of my price range. Heard good things about the Zen and for £30 thought it was a bargain.

The Zen is a total bargain at £30. There is nothing to touch it for the money. That Akasa Paxpower power supply is also excellent, although it is a fraction noiser than the equivalent 380W Tagan Silent (also about £40). One big advantage of the Akasa is it has extra-long cables so if/when you upgrade to a P180, Eclipse or Antec 900, you won't need any extensions. The current ones also have two SLI connectors directly wired into the PSU which is unusual in a budget PSU.

I certainly wouldn't be ashamed of that combination.
