Hi,

I posted a list of parts im going to be getting the other day and the one thing everybody suggested to me was to get the

Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme

However these seems a little excessive, and also looks so bulky that it might actually hinder airflow through the case. Plus an additional fan is also required.

Since then I have been looking at other cpu coolers and wondered what your opinions were on the following:

Akasa AK-925 Revo CPU Cooler (Socket 754/939/940/AM2/LGA775)
or
Zalman CNPS9700-LED CPU Cooler (Socket 754/939/940/AM2/LGA775)

are either of these just as good as the thermalright ultra 120 extreme.

Thanks
Nick

Also if anybody can suggest any alternate cpu coolers to the ones mentioned in the above post it would be much appreciated.

cheers
nick

Using the Tuniq Tower here, and although it is pretty bulky, it's really good. Can be a bit fiddly to fit at first though.

Getting around 37-40c idle and 50-53c under load, at the slowest fan setting, which is pretty quiet. The fans in the Antec 900 case will drown out the CPU fan noise easily!

Do I require any additional fans if I purchase the Tuniq cooler?
I am actually going to be getting the Antec 900 Ultimate gaming case which has 2 large 120mm fans at front, 1 large 200mm fan at top plus fan at rear.

The Tuniq Tower comes with a fan that sits in the centre of the heatsink. It comes with a knob that you mount in the back of the case to adjust the fan speed.

Actually I have just seen the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler (Socket LGA775)

Looks pretty good. Not so bulky, built in fan, half the price and brilliant reviews.

Opinions please. Will it cope when OC the q6600 to 3.2ghz
