was looking at reviews of this case and would like to hear peoples opinions. my main concern with my current thermaltake is poor airflow and lack of space.
all my cables which are sleeved catch on various things so im wondering is the eclipse one of the more spacious cases you can buy thanks in advance

Just bought one from someone as an upgrade from a superlanboy. it is HUGE on the inside and no worries about airflow at all! loads of space to hide cables, expand, its a waste on my system as i haven't got things to put in it.

i hope you have strong thumbs as you'll need them. thumbscrews everywhere (and some normal ones for psu/drives etc) excellent case.

Thumbscrews are a good thing!
You can nearly always still use a screwdriver with them too!

Great case, nothing more I can really add.

Awesome case, great airflow and great (PLENTY of space) for watercooling:

Look at the Akasa Eclipse Club thread... All your questions will be answered there... ;) :D CLOSED.

Well there's no airflow at the top near the cpu area only thing
i don't like about my eclipse. And if you have a big gpu card it acts as
a barrier so the airflow goes straight underneath it and straight out the back
which isnt good.I plan on getting a kama bay a 120mm fan on a housing that fits
in 3 5'25 bays.Hoping it will boost airflow around the cpu area and northbridge.

I totally agree with you, the Eclipse Mirage is a great case but it does need helpto improve the airflow near the cpu area especially if you have a large HSF on the cpu. I take it with the Kama bay you would lose 3 out of the 4 5.25 bays.

The vast majority of cases have that issue, if anything the Eclipse has it less than others as its a larger case.
Its not a problem with the Eclipse, its a problem with the standard ATX design.

I'm sure a fan in the 5'25 bay will improve things if i put it on low
i will post back results when i do.Yea it's an atx flaw just wish
makers would think more sometimes problem is these cases were not
designed for the rigs people are having now with the huge cards
hopefully the surfboard sized gpu card's will start to decrease in size a little.

Indeed you would but i only ever need 1 dvdrw never understood why people need more at one time. There are other single slot blowers maybe i'll put one of those right at the top to shift any gathering warm air.
It's still the best case but nothing is perfect.

I have two optical drives, and I'm a power user. They really do come in handy. I can install a game whilst burning. Read in two discs at the same time, or any combination of reading/installing, writing, verifying etc.

Stacker allows you to have entire height of case to be one big wave of air, if you wish. Three CM modules.

Having more than 1 dvd drive is nice. Its a pain in the nck to keep swapping game discs about :p
totaly
if I want to play Sup Comm, Stalker and x3 over the next month why would I want to swap disks out all the time when I can just run 3 DVD drives!

Mirage > Eclipse tho m8.
