Opinions on Blaupunkt ICE?

^^ I want MP3 and DAB and the possibility of adding an iPod into the CD changer port.

Anyone got first hand experience with Blaupunkt ICE?

Personally I think they're average.

I got one just like the one you liked for my mum though, for Christmas.

How much do they want for that unit?

Im not one for "phat ice", just want something thats good quality (I currently have a kenwood cd mp3 thats about 4 years old)

Get an alpine or a decent pioneer. These are excellent units in general, better than blaupunkt in my experience.

The emory stick thingy is an expensive option! CD's will do the job!

Blaupunkt i had sounded great and was so easy to use, depends on cost i think they do some cheap DAB (pehaps one of the cheapest infact) units.

I want DAB, most things are "DAB Ready" requiring another tuner and a £100-300 addon box!

hmmm good point, the BP's are pretty much the only ones out there.

My Blaupunkt has been absolutely superb, it's an Acapulco MP52. Comes with a nice parametric equalizer too, which is pretty awesome. A lot of german made cars come with Blaupunkt HUs as standard... but generally the lower end models.

Newer model, and comes with the aerial as standard... but it is a bit more.

Blaupunkt products do seem to be fairly reasonable but wouldn't say they are anything spectacular. Can't go wrong on value for money though.
