Opinions on FT02?

Silverstone rave about Positive air pressure. Use it in pretty much all their new Full/Mid size chassis now. You can learn about it HERE

GFX with downblowing coolers, ie ones that dont exhaust out the back of the card interupt this pressure causing it to not function as it should. So look for reference cards that do this.

I had a FT02 and it is a nice quiet case that kept everything very cool. However the gap for cable management isnt as big as most would want/need and it can be quite awkward to use (taking side panels off/removing dust filters/building)
Its a good case but for the £200 it costs it does have some negatives that may annoy some people.

Cable management is only awkward if you have a lot of stuff inside the computer, (dual graphics cards, multiple hard discs etc) as there isn't a huge amount of space for cable routing behind the back panel. It can be done, with some time, but it just needs that time and proper routing.

The dust filters are easy to change, you pop the side off, pull them out and give them a hoover. Considering how effective they genuinely are, I don't think that is too much trouble. (My PC sits on a laminate floor in a household with pets, it stays remarkably clean inside though!)

I currently have a Sapphire 7970 OC edition, the cooler on this works just fine and my case temperatures remain excellent.

It's a quiet case, cools well and looks nice. It took me many cases to eventually settle on this one, I always wanted something new, but I have settled on this and couldn't be happier. I wouldn't recommend it for water cooling even if I am tempted by some of the 180 rads that are turning up!

Sorry just to clarify wasnt saying this is a bad case but pointing out the minor annoyances I had with it, the filters are good but a bit fiddly and the side panels are just a pain to get on and off compared to a lot of other cases in the same bracket.

The cable management should be better on a £200 case but it is a few years old now by design and now we see much better cable management space and solutions so harder to criticise when at the time it was good cable management I think but not perfect.

It is very quiet and cool and looks nice once built and if those small things arent thing that bother you then its an awesome case.

If they are then its just a good case I think.

I got amazing temps on my Gigabyte Windforce 670 in my FT02, 28c idle and about 56c max load, so the inverted design doesn't seem to affect it, and the cooling is a strong point with this case :)
