Let me know what you think.

Thanks.

Ah didnt see that harddrive thanks mate...

Dont know if you noticed i opted to go for a lower watt PSU then the one you link a) to save a bit of money b) 650w should power that fine?

I dont no why but in my mind i want 6gb ram ive always had 4 lol is there anyway i can get 6 with my board...?

Also the board i went for the same one you opted but i think its a pro... what extra does it have ill guess not a great deal?

Thanks once again for your help ben

Yes the psu will be fine...Yes you can by buying another 2gb stick....But tbh no one needs 6gb
I just think the pro has some extra OC features and maybe some extra SATA ports...Depends if you want the extra lol

Any idea what that rig might get on a 3dmark score?

This one im on now got 14k and people said what i have is pretty pants and old, even tho i only bought it 2 days ago haha...

But aslong as that would be more i dont care

Well, the tripple memory wouldn't really work with your board, as its 2gb sticks x 3 (6gb) So you will have 4gb running in dual channel then 2gb running in single channel. No use to you tbh. 4gb of memory anyway is enough for the gaming needs.

Not to sure on the score you would get in 3dmark, as I ain't into that type of stuff.

The board you have chosen is good, becasue it offers crossfire and sli, whereas some of the cheaper boards don't. Although, I would reccomend you getting this board http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-368-AS&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1495

However, its not instock so maybe get it from another place. I really do reccomend getting the asus fourmular 3. I use it, stunning looking board and rock solid.

If you don't want to get the asus board, thats fine. Stick with the one you picked.

Yea that board looks nice but obviously it would for another £50 which i cant really afford... The set up i have .. will that run games at a high fps? thats all that really matters.

If you keep the mobo you have chosen and changed the hdd and memory then yeah. You can :D

I know the hdd wont make a difference but you would be silly to buy the one you have picked if I've told you the information mate :D

Well I have the exact same gpu and I can say I'm getting 30-70fps in crysis very high 1680x1050

I have chosen that samsung hdd... is that the correct one?

and why is it 30-70 fps i want constant 70 dammit! lol ;)

Crysis is a very hard game to play maxed out. 30-70 is really good on that game on max settings.

The xfx version is higher, becasue people say its a better make than sapphire but they ain't. xfx put the price higher on that, so people will buy them, as more money you spend = better it is. Sapphire are a very good brand and would really want you to stick with the sapphire card.

with the same GC card and thr antec 902 case this is only slightly dearer... and this was the whole point in me building my own because people said i would be better off and it would be cheaper lol

No. The case isn't as good as the antec 902. The gpu is crap and no good for gaming. The hard drive is a slow one compared to the Samsung f3's. And that motherboard isn't the best out of the x58's range.

I have chosen 902 on both specs same with the graphics card as you can choose what to put in the goliath...

Im just worried i have spent all this time choosing parts and its not going to cost me any cheaper then buying a pre build

Nope mate, still better building your own mate. The hard drive is still poor, and like i said, the board isn't that great on the x58. Buy the parts and build it your self. You get more for your money, it will be your first time building, so you will find it fun and will earn experience.

If the worst comes to the worst, pay your local pc shop to build it (around £50 I imagine)
But I can't see you doing that, as its easy.

I now have a new problem! :(

The misses is not happy as the one im taking back cost £800 and the new one overall cost around £1100

Ben is there anyway you can get in down to £800 - £900 max!! without lowering the spec THAT much?

women eh!!
