Hello all i have finally decided i'm going to build this system. Does anyone have any good or bad sugesstions regarding it?

Samsung SpinPoint T HD300LJ 300GB SATA-II 8MB Cache - OEM (HD-032-SA)

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler (Socket 775) (HS-017-AR)

Antec Sonata II Piano Black Quiet Case - 450W Smart Power PSU (CA-040-AN)

Gigabyte GA_965P_DQ6 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (MB-058-GI)

Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2-8500C5 TwinX (2x1GB) (MY-109-CS)

Acoustic Energy Aego M 2.1 Speakers (White) - Retail (SP-001-AE)

Viewsonic VX2025wm 20" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Silver/Black (MO-052-VS)

Total price about £1200

All seems good :)

You might want to get a better cpu cooler though. It will give you the option to overclock your cpu if you want to and will keep it cooler than the stock one that comes with the cpu :)

Scythe Ninja Plus Heatpipe CPU Cooler (Socket 478, 754, 939, 940, LGA755) (HS-003-SY) - £31.67

Good Luck with the build :)

Thanks for the feedback. I'm a bit worried about going for bigger cooler as some reviews mentioned extra large coolers couldn't be fitted on this motherboard. Fingers crossed

Nothing wrong with the artic cooling pro 7. In tests it lowered temp of the cpu by 20c more than compared to the stock cooler that comes with a conreo cpu.

I used a artic cooling on one of my other rigs and overclocked nicely. I have seen people take the E6600 to 3.5ghz with just a artic cooling pro 7

Yeh, also seen it.

Compared to the Scythe you have to take different factors into account with artic cooling pro 7. 1 cost, its half the price of the Scythe and for its cooling ability £ for £ it works very well. Most people only want to spend £50 on a PSU and for them to spending £30 to £40 on a heatsink is going to be hard.

Even though I like Scythe heatsinks I tend to recommend artic cooling pro 7 on costs compared to the Scythe.

It all depends on what people want good cooling or premium cooling. Thats the trouble when people ask for advice, they don't say how much they are willing to spend.

Do you not need a graphics card?
