Can I have some opinions on this laptop? Personally I think there are better deals to be had, but it's for a mate and he seems pretty hooked up on the idea of this one.

My concern is that you can get the exact same spec but in a "Dell" laptop for a lot less - and it would have an 8600GT. Which is better than that 2600 (i think).
What do you think of this laptop? Or maybe some alternative suggestions?
Portability isn't a concern. Battery lifetime isn't a major concern either, but nothing silly - gotta be >1hr. Price range I think no more expensive than £750, but build quality is a concern so no Acers
I own an Acer and while it's a very good laptop at a bargain price, it's build and general feel doesn't compare to the Toshiba or Dell laptops I have used recently!
Games will go as far as Age of Empires 3 and maybe Call of Duty 4, even then I don't think he's really going to get in to games much, but it should be a laptop that's capable of doing anything he wants to do on it - so no "hyper memory" graphics cards or integrated intel VGA chips
