Opinions on this laptop...?

Hey folks, a person (older lady) at work has been offered the following laptop for £380 but I don't really know much about laptops and what's good and bad. She will be using it almost solely for typing and browsing the net (not gaming or photoshop etc).

Also if it isn't very good what should I look at on OcUK as I'm sure there will be a better deal

Here's the spec:

Dell Vostro 1000 Notebook
1.9GHz Dual Core
15.4 screen
120Gb HDD
1Gb RAM
ATi graphics card
Vista
DVDRW
MS Works

Ok I appreciate that the specs are somewhat vague on what exactly the parts are but I doubt they would be high end.

Any advice appreciated!!

For the money you can certainly get higher spec laptop than you listed - bigger HDD, 2GB RAM etc. Is this BN?

brand new

if you want a dell laptop, get a business to buy one for you, they get them for really good prices

i'd want at least 2gb in a laptop, even for £350 (new)

Yeah sorry, Brand New.

bledd's advice is good, we get amazing deals at work through dell. Also my girlfriend has just bought a dell laptop spent jsut under £400 and got 1.8GHz/2GB/200GB HDD.
